THE BLACK SUN (Redemption of the Feminine, Lecture 1)

The Black Sun and White Sun represent two complementary Solar forces in esoteric tradition, with the Black Sun emphasizing purification, freedom from illusion, inner transformation, and Creation from within, and the White Sun focusing on outward illumination and the expression and embodiment of Spiritual evolution.

The Black Sun (when its forces are used correctly) can also be seen as the power of the Holy Mother, while the White Sun represents the Impulse of Christ and the Divine Masculine polarity.

When these forces are in their positive forms, they support a balanced Spiritual development.

However, when inverted, they can lead to spiritual pitfalls, such as materialism (Ahrimanic impulse) or false spirituality (Luciferic impulse). An imbalance of these forces results in dark and manipulative tendencies, which may eventually manifest as traits of the Dark Triad.

The unconscious Black Sun is regressive, pulling one backward; it can be associated with the process of “reverse” Etherization. This is the "Dark Mother" who seeks to devour her own children. She does not operate through Creation, but rather, draws humanity into destruction. She is the Venus Flytrap. She is the endless void that offers no return and no redemption. This is who we become when we fail to make the unconscious, conscious....perpetuating its power over us.

This is the difference between she who descends and she who falls.

The biological female is deeply connected to the Black Sun through her womb. This is where we understand the “womb ----> tomb” concept. She is both a bringer of life and creativity and also (when unconscious) a force of chaos and destruction. Every month, she undergoes an "Underworld" period of transformation and purification that mirrors her menstrual cycle. In this way, the woman regularly descends "below", is stripped of all she once knew, and allows what is false or corrupt within her to be transformed.
