Gender Dysphoria, Transsexualism, and Occult Science.

Gender Dysphoria, Transsexualism, and Occult Science.

I am often asked about gender dysphoria and the transsexual phenomenon from an occult (and anthroposophical) perspective. I believe this is an important question, and topic.

I would eventually like to share more on this, but I will start here:

You *can* have gender dysphoria.

You *can’t* be a biological male that is really “female” on the inside, or a biological female that is really “male” on the inside.

Each of us is made up of both the male and female sex polarity. In occult science, we know that the astral body represents the opposing (as in “other,” not “against”) sex to the physical body.

This does not mean that we were intended to be the “other” sex, it simply represents the manifestation of our expression of sex polarity, and this is something that is consistent across incarnations.

In gender dysphoria, what is most likely happening is one of a few scenarios…

1. Misunderstanding of sex polarity due to trauma from the division of the sexes. This wound has been cast over present humanity like a kind of karmic “spell.” It is easy for any well-studied individual to see the current influences on humanity, stemming from the fall of Atlantis and Lemuria. Confusion around sex, sex polarity, and gender haven’t just infiltrated schools, media, and politics…we also see these wounds manifesting deep within the most adopted ideologies of the New Age. Many are operating from the belief that they are *either* the Divine Feminine OR the Divine Masculine. For this reason, many also believe that homosexual relationships create a cosmic “imbalance” due to the combination of two “female” polarities. This is why, in New Age cults such as the Twin Flames Universe cult, members in same-sex relationships were encouraged, by their leaders, that one person in the relationship should “transition” to the opposite sex to create “balance” within the polarities of the relationship. Of course, this is complete nonsense. It is not physically possible to make a complete transition from one sex to another sex. Likewise, modifying the gender expression of our physical form does not change the expression of our sex polarity.

Next possible scenario,

2. Deep connection to (or memory of) prior incarnation as the opposite sex coupled with detachment from present sex/incarnation due to trauma. Considering we have all had prior incarnations, it is very likely that one or more of those were as the opposite sex. Memories of this former life may trigger feelings of dysphoria, frustration, confusion, and even depression. While past life regression can often be helpful, some individuals may not benefit from it, especially those prone to dissociation, detachment, or psychosis. It is imperative that we learn how to ground first into this body and this incarnation so that we may make ourselves prepared via the cultivation of capacity for cosmic memory within the nervous system.

Lastly,

3. Traumatized individuals with homosexual alignment. Homosexual relationships in prior epochs and incarnations may have been looked down upon, or even reserved for darker occult rituals and purposes. This can create deep shame around the individual, causing one to reject their biological sex polarity in an effort to also reject their homosexual alignment. Again, it is not possible to change sex or gender, not physically, not spiritually. One can only change gender expression.

Of course, we see many other spiritual and non-spiritual factors at play, but I argue that each one of them stems from one or more of these karmic wounds.
