(Commentary inspired by Gigi Young’s recent post, “A Crisis of Definitions”)
Any attempt to embellish or sensationalize Occult Science is inevitably a desecration of its purity and essence. True Occult Science is inherently practical and directly applicable, intended to gently guide the initiate towards a path of remembrance using very specific words, myths, and imagery. However, the New Age often introduces complexities and inconsistencies to these Cosmic Truths, while simultaneously watering them down or even blatantly negating key elements.
Additionally, there has been an increase in the trend to co-opt these Mysteries, assigning ancient wisdom with new, flashy labels. While they may be eye-catching, such redefinitions are far from harmless. They subtly distort our recollection and understanding, strategically derailing the path of the mystic.
